The Highlands Golf Club

In the early 1900's Donald Ross, one of the world's most renowned golf course architects, designed one of the best golf courses in West Michigan. In 2008 we celebrated our centennial year at The Highlands in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Now you too can play and walk the fairways that Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead and hundreds of other PGA, Senior PGA, and LPGA stars have played. In the 1980's and 1990's, The Highlands hosted a Senior PGA Tour event. Currently, we host a popular annual LPGA Pro-Am Event. The Highlands now opens its doors to invite your foursome, group, or golf outing to experience our magnificently manicured fairways and our extremely fast and difficult greens. After your round, you can enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner in the Glendevon Restaurant featuring the Masters Dining Room or the more casual Donald Ross Lounge. Then head to the golf shop to browse the great golf products and to reserve your next tee time at The Highlands. The Highlands Golf Club not only offers very affordable daily rates, but our creative membership options offer something for everyone. We have one of the most experienced staffs in West Michigan that specializes in providing all of our guests the great service that you would usually only expect at private clubs. The Highlands averages 4 hours or less for 18 holes most days, so you will enjoy your round. The Highlands' timeless design epitomizes the Donald Ross philosophy that "a golf course should be subtly deceptive, rather than unduly penalizing...a true test for the skilled players, yet enjoyable for golfers of all abilities." There is no better example of this philosophy and the The Highlands. Rich in tradition, The Highlands hosted Senior PGA tournaments from 1986 to 1993. The event attracted such golf legends as Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Billy Casper, Chi-Chi Rodriguez and Lee Trevino. For the last three year, The Highlands has hosted an event featuring several active LPGA players.
